Promotions Unlimited Named International Award Winner

Promotions Unlimited, Inc. was named a silver award winner in the 2005 Summit Creative Awards competition for its Breast Health Awareness Card. Last year the company received U.S. Patent number 6,817,865 for this unique product.

Close collaboration with the oncology division of a major pharmaceutical company led Promotions Unlimited to develop the Breast Health Awareness Card which was designed to educate women and raise awareness about breast cancer. Using the instructions that are imprinted on the card, women are challenged to find the small lumps deeply embedded inside the synthetic breast.

Gynecologists, oncology nurses, and mammographers use this educational tool in clinical settings to help women perform self-exams properly and increase understanding of their bodies. Pharmaceutical companies and other clients that market to women use the Breast Health Awareness Card to advance women's breast cancer awareness.

The Summit Creative Awards celebrate the accomplishments of smaller creative companies throughout the world. In the last decade, the competition has established itself as one of the premier arbiters of global creative excellence. The Promotions Unlimited Breast Health Awareness Card was one of 3,000 entries from more than 20 countries.

Promotions Unlimited adds the Summit Creative Award to a number of others earned in recent years. The company was also selected as a winner in the 10th and 11th annual National Health Information Awards competitions. This awards program, organized by the Health Information Resource Center, honors the nation's best consumer health information promotions and materials. In 2004, Promotions Unlimited received an NHIA award for its Breast Health Awareness Card and, in 2003, for its Living With It kits, a promotion developed to spread awareness of a pharmaceutical client's breast cancer web site.
